It seems Abby has discovered her thumb. We have caught her a few times over the past few days trying to get her hand into her mouth. Well this morning, while I was feeding the girls, Abby was sucking her thumb. I was tending to Ellie, and looked over to check on Abby. Her bottle had fallen out of her mouth, and she replaced it with her thumb. She couldn't have been happier about it. She even fussed a little when I put her bottle back in her mouth.
Yesterday, we had an outing to the mall. There were a bunch of outfits we needed to exchange. Most of the clothes we have for the girls are sized 0-3 months. It is hard to believe, but they are starting to outgrow that size. I was amazed at how everyone seems to do a double take when they see twins. People have no problem offering advice. We didn't even have to ask. One lady, whose daughter's sister in law had twins, told us it is important to keep them on the same feeding schedule. Thanks lady, I never would have figured that one out! We have had people ask us the standard questions also, "Are they twins?" The one that we have gotten a few times, that I still laugh about is, "Are they girls?" That would be a logical question if they weren't covered from head to toe in pink and purple, riding in car seats that are also bright pink. You also get your fair share of, "I guess you have your hands full." To this I would like to reply, "Yeah thanks, how about taking one for a while." Of course I would never let a stranger take one of my daughters, but it would be great to see their expression.
Here are a few pictures we have taken over the past week, or so. When I was putting these on the computer this morning, I was surprised by the ones of me holding Abby while asleep on the couch. This time, I was legitimately napping. The one from a while ago, where I was holding them both was staged.
